If kids can go to camp, why can’t you? Now, all the fun without the mosquitoes.

Two action-packed days: August 12-13, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

This camp is designed to demystify the grantwriting process for entry- and mid-level grantwriters. Using a combination of presentations and group activities, you will learn how to provide grantmakers with the information they want. Camp materials include Microsoft Word and Excel document templates that you can customize for use with your own grant applications. Certificates of completion are provided.

Camp activities include:

  • Capture the flag
  • Tips for planning programs prior to writing grants
  • Researching grants and approaching grantmakers before applying
  • How to start a fire with old grant applications and a piece of glass
  • Preparing information commonly asked for in grant applications
  • Arts and crafts with macaroni and a glue gun

Cost: $240 per person, includes lunch, materials, parking, and marshmallows (group discounts available)

Instructor: Nonprofit Works Lead Scout, Paul Mastrodonato, has helped nonprofits obtain funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies for over 18 years. Paul’s camp style is known for being informative, interactive, relaxed, and fun.
