But many find it difficult to get media coverage for their mission and intermediate goals. In this hands-on presentation, Nonprofit Works communications consultant John Wilner will discuss how to develop news stories that engage and resonate with both audiences and the media, and provide a handy tool to help you determine how best to frame different stories. Presenter: John Wilner has spent more than 30 years working for a variety of non-profit organizations (and a few for-profit ones) as a researcher, reporter, editor, publications director, and communications consultant. With a background in public policy, journalism, and editorial production, he has spent decades helping non-profit groups develop and deliver messages to a wide range of audiences, including the news media. He also serves as an SEG communications advisor.
